Bobby Hutch started his first band in Gary / Hammon, Indiana in 1949.
Memorial Day, 2008, Bobby celebrated his 59th year in bluegrass and old time country music.
He worked the clubs in Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin and Canada before moving his operation
to Portsmouth, Ohio, where he worked the clubs with the great fiddler Freddie Evans of Cowboy Copus fame.

In 1956, Bobby entered the U.S. Army serving six years with two tours of duty in Germany,
the last with the 4th Infantry Division.
In 1962 he returned to his home state of Kentucky, where he started his band at that time
called the Dixie Playboys. Then it was on to Michigan in 1964. His first band in Michigan
consisted of Shorty Patrick (fiddle), Willie Anderson (banjo), Jimmie Alcorn (bass),
Eddie Boggs (autoharp) and a short time later David Welch (mandolin).

There has been many musicians since then who have been part of the Grand Ole Country band,
such as Jeff Bock (banjo), Greg Farmer (lead guitar), Luther Hurst (fiddle).

The current band members are:
John T. Jones .......... Banjo
Burl Stevens .......... Dobro
Bobby Hutch III .......... Bass
Mike Kegley .......... Mandolin (when available)
Regena Kegley .......... Harmony Vocals
Regena was with Bobby from 1953 to 1956 when Bobby was in Portsmouth, Ohio
